This weekend, I’ll be presenting on Procrastination at the Inspiring Women in Business Seminar & Expo in Beckton, East London, on Saturday September 6, organised by the Chosen Women Outreach.
This year’s theme is Thriving In Business and my talk is entitled: Three Toxic Ingredients For Procrastination That Choke Small Business Owners – And Simple Techniques To Detox Your Mind To Wealth.
Chosen Women Outreach is a global social welfare charity who support and empower disadvantaged women and children, transforming their lives for the better.
When I was invited to present at this annual event by the co-ordinator, Wumi Oyewole, beauty and health care consultant, didn’t have to think too long about what a group of women looking for inspiration in business might benefit from more.
For some, procrastination is a minor problem; for others, it leads to much stress and anxiety. In common with the two extremes, is that the procrastinator knows exactly what they are procrastinating about, but ends up doing something else instead. Or as I say to my clients, a part of you wants to do x, but instead, another part of you ends up doing Y.
If you are running a small business that relies on efficiency and good organisation, procrastination can be the difference between business growth or stagnation.
In my talk I will highlight three manifestations of procrastination that hinder mall business owners and offer strategies overcome them.
The one day event comprises speakers, discussion panels and exhibition stalls and stands. To book either your ticket as a participant or a stand as an exhibitor go to the EventBrite link to book
There will be opportunities to question the business pane; network with like-minded business women over a buffet lunch, as well as a speed networking session to get powerful collaborations going. Most important of all will be the opportunity to learn powerful strategies on how to make your business THRIVE.
